Show Me Your Lard The Controllers From The Eu Came To Ukrainian Pig Farms

In Ukraine, the EU mission arrived, which will check the control measures to combat the African swine fever (ASF), according to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

According to the mission representatives, the spread of ASF has become a common problem for the whole of Europe, and it is necessary to fight the epidemic jointly.

The EU finances the measures to eliminate ASF, including propaganda among the population, so it is interested in how the Ukrainian State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise works, which is the national reference laboratory.

Representatives of the mission also want to check the condition of regional laboratories, pig farms, meat processing plants and hunting areas in Poltava, Odessa, Rivne, Volhynia and Lviv regions.

EU experts are to observe all this in Ukraine till October 4 and then will draw up a report on the ASF in Ukraine.

As we reported earlier, Belgian farmers asked the authorities of their country to organize the mass destruction of wild boars in the forests.

And the Environmental Protection Agency of Denmark decides to erect a 70 km long fence on the border with Germany, in 2019. The barrier will protect the Danish domestic pigs from the ASF, the carriers of which are German wild boars.
