A threshing floor in the village of Cherlenovka in the Chernivtsi region was sold for 209.6 thousand UAH in electronic trading, Ubiz said. This was the first lot sold within the framework of the all-Ukrainian program of small-scale privatization.

The starting price of the threshing floor was 207.5 thousand UAH, and two buyers fought for it. As a result, the object went to the company “Novye Zhittya”, which is engaged in the cultivation of grain and industrial crops, as well as in livestock.

The decision to sell the threshing floor was taken by local authorities. “It is very pleasant that the village council has provided the start of small-scale privatization in Ukraine,” said Dmitry Boyko, head of the auction market at Ubiz.

In his view, such a quick reaction of small towns and villages to new programs and laws suggests that small privatization will become an effective mechanism for the state, and for communities, buyers, and in general for the country’s economy.

As previously reported to the media, on January 18 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law “On Privatization”. It is divided into small and large privatization with a total value of assets in excess of UAH 250 million.

Since June 5, transparent rules for the sale of small businesses with a significant share of state capital have been established. Objects are implemented through the ProZorro system.

As we reported, the State Property Fund of Ukraine abolished the order on privatization of the State Food and Grain Corporation.
