The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine signed a memorandum with the Qatar ports management company “Mwani Qatar” about the beginning of cooperation to increase the flow of goods between the ports of Ukraine and Qatar, the Ministry of Infrastructure informs.

In particular, it is about the export of agricultural goods to the Middle East and the investments of Qatari investors in the port infrastructure of Ukraine. For example, preparing the sea terminals “Olvia” and “Kherson” for international supplies.

Abdulla Al Khanji, general director of Qatar ports management company Mwani Qatar, visited the ports Odessa and Yuzhny. By the way, the latter will serve the largest ships that can pass through the Bosporus, including in the direction of Qatar, in the near future.

But first of all Qatar people are interested in the concession of “Olvia” and “Kherson”. Projects will begin to be implemented as early as 2019.

“This is our third meeting recently, and I am glad that we are turning to a consideration of specific projects,” said Vladimir Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, at a meeting with Jassem Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar.

As we reported earlier, a large international concession project of a universal reloading complex worth $ 250 million is being prepared at the port of Chernomorsk with the participation of Chinese and American investors.
