Four swindlers detained In Lutsk. They sold via Internet non-existent agricultural machinery. Due to this fraud, they earned 1,127 million UAH, according to the Prosecutor’s Office of Volyn region.
The organizer of the scam was a 32-year-old woman from Lutsk, who was “helped” by three other men.
Attackers posted on the Internet ads on the sale of cheap agricultural machinery. Future buyers, despite the suspiciously low prices, enthusiastically began to conclude fake contracts for financial leasing, sending to fraudsters the advances in the amount of 25 thousand to 234 thousand UAH. However, none of the buyers received the promised machines.
According to the Prosecutor’s office, scammers have deceived about 20 gullible buyers from different regions of Ukraine.
Representatives of the law informed attackers about suspicion of committing criminal offenses, stipulated in Part 4 of Art. 190 and part 2 of Art. 15 hours 4 tbsp. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We recall that in May this year, a farmer from the Ternopil region similar way sent to the scammers 34 thousand UAH, hoping to buy a cheap tractor. Then the man realized that he had been deceived, and turned to the police.
