Ukrainian farmers in the past year purchased 2000 drones. Almost 70% of this amount is manufactured in Ukraine. This was discussed at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation informs.
According to Leonid Kozachenko, president of the UAC, at the meeting was also decided to recommend to the parliament to pass a bill that would add unmanned aerial vehicles to the list of domestic equipment, part of the cost of which will be compensated by the state. The corresponding draft law is registered in the Verkhovna Rada under the number 8275.
Now, agricultural producers are already receiving partial compensation for the cost of purchased tractors, trailed aggregates and other agricultural machinery produced domestically. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, for May alone, the amount of compensation was 43 million UAH. 456 applications were received for the receipt of funds.
In January-May, 70.7 million UAH was paid from the budget for the purchase of 953 units of agricultural machinery.
However, along with the usual agricultural machinery and equipment, agrarians actively use new technologies, including drones. Using drone, 500,000 hectares are now being monitored.
The initiative to include drones in the list of equipment for the purchase of which partial compensation was provided, was announced in April. Then the specialists noted that not every farmer can afford to buy a drone for $ 2-3 thousand. If 25% of its cost can be compensated by the state program of partial compensation of the cost of agricultural equipment and equipment of domestic production, it will allow the agricultural producers more access to innovations.
Domestic manufacturers of UAV, in turn, will be motivated to develop due to the increased demand for their products.
